April 2, 2011 became a memorable day in the history of Indian Cricket when glorious Indian team beat Sri Lanka by 6 wickets in the final of ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, thus bringing the most-awaited trophy back to India after a long-wait of 28 years.
The whole India celebrated this victory like a national festival by bursting firecrackers and partying all night.
BCCI President Sharad Pawar declared a cash prize of Rs. 1 Crore to each member of world cup squad. Rs.50 lakhs and Rs.25 lakhs will also be rewarded to Indian coach & staff and members of selection committee.
